-- MacWorld keeps going back to its roots by reminding readers of the
computer Apple made "pre-Mac". In the April issue there's mention of Tom
Owad's book "Apple I Replica Creation: Back to the Garage" published by
Syndress, 2005. The book guides the user through soldering, assembling
and programming your very own Apple I computer, and contains a forward from
Steve Wozniak. Information about the book can be found on the publisher's
website at: http://www.syngress.com/catalog/?pid=3180

-- GSE-Reactive continues to add products to their online catalog, all
designed to help us keep our Apple II computers alive and well. Several
new items have been announced, from a CompactFlash adapter for IDE
controller cards, memory chips, to adapters allowing GS power supplies to
be used with a //e-style power connector, as well as news of current
projects. More information on these items can be found at their
newly-revamped website:
http://www.gse-reactive.com/cre/all_products.php

-- Rich Dreher has begun taking orders for round 4 of his popular
CompactFlash for Apple II card. This current incarnation sports several
design updates, and has proven that modern technology and the Apple II
DOES mix! More information can be found at:
http://spudboy.dreher.net/CFforAppleII

-- The Apple II has always been user-friendly for people who have motor
or sight impairments. Visually impaired Apple II users have also had an
online listserv available to them for some time, sponsored by Jayson
Smith. The list has moved servers and has a new email address for new
subscribers: blindapple-subscribe@bluegrasspals.com

-- Summer Camp for Computer Geeks, aka KansasFest is progressing for
2006, and registration should be opening shortly. Anyone interested in
attending (as all Apple II fans should do at least once!) should check
http://www.kfest.org for updated information. KansasFest will again this
year be held at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
